  1. Self introduction:

Since its beginning, NVDA has been rapidly developed by so many people with full of ambition, energy and friendship! But there are still so many things to be done by international voluntary service. Let's create health and colorful Asia-Pacific & the world together!

 

                  7. Quick review of International Voluntary Service Experience:

a) Founding President of NICE since 1990 Feb. -  now:

·         Organized 2,874 workcamps/ exchanged 45,661 volunteers for
  environment, social welfare, rural development, education and culture

·         Created various new types of projects such as weekend workcamps,
  group workcamps, long/ middle term volunatry projects, etc.

Started international workcamps in 10 countries of Asia Pacific with
  the new, motivated NGOs there (partly with NVDA).
 

b) President of NVDA, 1997 Oct. - 2008 Jan. and 2010 Jan. – now:

·         Invented common actions of Asia/ World such as Greening Asia, World Eco Sponge Action and Tanabata Action that planted 822,831 trees by 21,427 people in 19 countries! (also in NICE & CCIVS).

·         Created a scheme of sending NVDA individual/ group volunteers
  and other innovative practice (opening finance, ILS book, etc.)
 

c) EC member of CCIVS (Coordinating Committee for International
Volunary Service) at UNESCO, 1998-2004, 2007-now:

·         Realized International Solidarity Fund and other other reform

·         Initiated creation of Global Meeting of international voluntary service (with other networks), Global LMTV Meetings (with NVDA), etc.

·         Lecturer of Kokushikan University, 2002 Apr. –now

·         Chairperson of the International Department of Citizen Cabinet

·         Chairperson of the World Summit for Forest Actions, 2011 Oct.

             d) Award:

·         Alec Dickson Award in 2009 Nov. (for promotion of voluntary service)
