 Voluntary Work:

RUCHI is a NGO committed to integrated rural development since 1983. RUCHI has focused through the years on promoting sustainable anthropocentric development through empowerment – by providing assistance and technical support to the underprivileged, showing them the way to minimize dependence and thus attain a better life – rather than just through charity. It is already implementing some humanitarian projects including civil engineering works, like natural spring development, ferro-cement tanks, earthen or concrete irrigation tanks, check dams etc. and the participants will join such work with learning its impact and challenges.

Workshop

We will share our difficulties and know-how to solve them and plan the actions of NVDA to be submitted to the GA. The topics will be as follows (more details will be prepared and guided to the participants after they will be accepted);

A: Project management (camp leader training, recruitment and preparation of volunteers, whole   process from planning to evaluation, financial and human resources, logical flame, etc.)

B: Public Relations (1. promotion of projects through media, SNS, organizing events, etc. 2. external and internal management of PR, 3. partnership with other stakeholders such as universities, companies, governments, etc., )

C: Common Actions (1. World Tanabata Action to prevent climate change by planting trees and writing gmy actionh on tanzaku papers, 2. Eco Sponge Action to protect water environment and support disadvantaged women through fair trade and other social themes)

D: Impact (sharing tools and methodologies of how to measure/ collect/ present/ maximize the impact and planning further actions)

Bilateral talks

We can have 15-30 minutes with each of the other NGOs by that you can talk about anything for cooperation freely with everyone.

NVDA Poster

Each Organization will have one poster (60cm*85cm) to share the workcamp project and voluntary works in your country.  We will organize a poster exhibition in community to show the civil power and social impact via voluntary service. So please bring some photos of your voluntary project.

After the poster exhibition, we will keep the entire poster for community, so make sure you have extra copies of photos for community.

The 8th General Assembly of NVDA

Plan of Actions and the budget for 2012-13, evaluation of activities and finance in 2010-11, EC election, future events, etc. Non members are welcome to join it as observers (and there are chances for new NGOs to become members of NVDA by the decision of the EC meeting on Feb. 6th.)
